This is a handbag made from the shibori (tie dye resist) fabric of a haori. The overall pattern is a cross-hatch motif, if looked at from a distance. A closer examination reveals a retro style, with fringe and beads at the bottom, reminiscent of designs from a past era. To some, the design might suggest the 1920s or 30s, whereas others would insist that it is from the 1960s.
