This kimono has a base color of golden ivory, and is adorned with hundreds of deep red butterflies. The exterior fabric of this kimono has a lovely raised wavy pattern. The chou-cho (butterflies) are depicted using a dotted outline technique. The lining of this kimono is white with a violet edge area. The condition of this Japanese kimono is good; there are some light yellow stains on the lining typical of silk of a certain age, but it is still very wearable or displayable, and very suitable for spring or summer.
