Uchikake Summary:|
Here is a white wedding kimono known as a shiromuku. The weight of this shiromuku is substantial, as with all uchikake, because of its quilted padding throughout. The wonderful designs on the satiny white exterior include flowers, leaves, and traditional Japanese carts known as hanaguruma (flower carts). These carts are often seen at festivals like Kyoto's Gion Matsuri. Beautiful!
